MedReimagined is a brand that is dedicated to closing the gap and leveling the playing field for everyone, but especially Black and brown aspiring physicians. We offer summer camps and after-school programming that teaches a comprehensive medical school curriculum to middle and high school students. Our students develop their identity as future doctors early on as actually Black medical professionals help equip them with the knowledge, skills and self-confidence they’ll need to make it through the challenging pathway to becoming an MD.

Do you know the #1 predictor of whether or not a 10th grader that aspires to be a doctor will eventually apply to medical school? It’s the income and educational attainment of their parents.

Wealthy children of doctors or Phd’s are 15x more likely to apply to medical school than first-generation college students. This has nothing to do with ability and everything to do with preparation and knowledge of how to navigate a very narrow pathway and compete for one of only 20,000 seats out of 3.2 - 3.5 million students every year. The fact that its so much of an impossibility for students in some communities to compete for one of these spots that they don’t even apply is the definition of generational curses.

We’re committed to changing that.

We’re Black doctors and we understand that Black students face unique challenges when pursuing a career in medicine. That's why we offer a comprehensive curriculum that begins as early as middle or elementary school to introduce scholars to the content and styles of learning they’ll encounter in medical school. This isn’t about motivational speeches, or resume building activities or even getting a great mentor.

Belief in one’s self doesn’t come for saying mantras in the mirror or puffing yourself up. It comes from an undeniable mountain of evidence that you are who you say you are.

We help students prove to themselves that they are the future doctors-in-training they claim to be, by giving them the chance to go to medical school in middle and high school. Once they know that they know that they know that they’re prepared, can do the work, and know what to expect - we believe nothing will be able to stop them. And that’s not just stuff we tell ourselves, we done it before. Here’s our undeniable evidence.
